Refund Policy

Effective and last updated: June 3, 2026
Short version. If Memrith isn't a good fit, email support@memrith.com within 60 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full, no questions asked. This is in addition to (not instead of) any non-waivable refund rights you have under your local consumer-protection law.

1. The 60-day guarantee

Memrith LLC offers a sixty (60) day money-back guarantee on the one-time license purchase. If you decide Memrith isn't right for you within sixty (60) calendar days of the original purchase date shown on your Polar receipt, you may request a full refund. We don't ask for a reason, and the request itself is the whole process — but we'd appreciate hearing what didn't work so we can improve.

2. How to request a refund

  1. Email support@memrith.com from the email address you used at checkout.
  2. Include your Polar order number (it's on your receipt — shown as a UUID-style ID).
  3. Tell us briefly what didn't work, if you're willing — optional.

We will process eligible refunds within five (5) business days. Refunds are issued by Polar (our Merchant of Record) back to the original payment method. Bank processing times beyond that are outside our control (typically 3–10 business days, depending on your bank).

3. What gets refunded

An approved refund returns the full purchase price you paid, including any taxes Polar collected on the transaction (Polar refunds the taxes alongside the principal — this is the standard Merchant-of-Record behavior).

4. Effect of refund on your license

When a refund is processed, your License Key is deactivated and any device activations associated with it are revoked. You will lose access to the Software at the point the refund is issued. Your locally-stored data (journal entries, conversations, uploaded documents, memories) remains on your device — Memrith does not delete or alter it. You may, of course, continue to use whatever you exported before the refund.

5. What's not eligible

  • Requests outside the 60-day window. Refund requests received more than sixty (60) days after the purchase date are not eligible under this policy. (You may still have rights under your local law — see Section 8.)
  • Trial licenses. Free trials carry no purchase price, so there is nothing to refund.
  • Chargeback workarounds. If you have already filed a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card network, please cancel it before requesting a refund through us — we cannot process a refund alongside an active dispute, and chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may delay resolution.
  • Repeat refund cycling. The 60-day guarantee is intended in good faith. If a customer repeatedly purchases and refunds the same product, Memrith reserves the right to decline future refunds and may decline future purchases.
  • Refunds requested after material misuse. If we have terminated your license under the Acceptable Use provisions of the Terms of Service (Section 12) — for example, for breach of license restrictions or attempts to circumvent device limits — the 60-day guarantee does not entitle you to a refund, though we will refund any unused portion to the extent required by law.

6. AI Provider charges are not refundable by us

Memrith uses third-party AI Providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter, etc.) using API keys you supply. Any charges those providers billed to you for usage are governed by your relationship with the AI Provider; Memrith cannot refund them. If you believe an AI Provider charge is incorrect, contact that provider directly.

7. Subscriptions (if and when offered)

Memrith does not currently offer subscription products. If we add subscriptions in the future, the refund terms for those products will be set out at the point of sale and may differ from this policy. The current one-time license is the only product covered by the 60-day guarantee.

8. Your local-law rights

This policy does not replace or limit any non-waivable rights you have under the law of the country, state, or province where you live, including statutory rights of withdrawal under EU/UK consumer-protection law, Australian Consumer Law, or similar regimes. Where local law gives you a stronger right than this policy, the stronger right applies.
